Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American artist and performer born in Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to be signed to J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. Her debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. The singer began to earn recognition. Her first studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox posted her music online in 2012 when she released Five Finger Discount mixtape and Ariography EP in 2013. In 2014 Ari Lennox released her single Bound along with her self-released mixtape Five Finger Discount. The 21st day of July, 2015, Omen featured her on Elephant Eyes song Sweat It Out. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew at that time was interested in having her work on Rihanna reference. On December 8 it was revealed that she had officially signed by Dreamville Records. She was featured on the album collaboratively titled Revenge of the Dreamers II featuring the track Backseat Cozz. In the month of October she dropped her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox appeared in J. Cole's Change track, and performed on her own tour, the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour 2017. In 2018 she guest-starred on two songs alongside her labelmates EarthGang for Nothing but the Best. Also, she appeared on Bas in Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on July 16, 2018. A music video was followed by a music video in September. In November, she released two singles, forty Shades of Choke & Grampa. In November 2013 she released her debut album No One, and Pedigree. Shea Butter Baby was released on her debut single, the 26th of February, 2019, for her album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby was featured along with Cole as part of The Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. In February 2019 the music video for the track debuted. The song has received more than 3 million YouTube views within a week. The singer was a part of the 6LACK's From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December the year 2018.
