She introduced Tejano into the mainstream of music. Her name was rising whose untimely passing splintered it. It is also the case with a talented, charismatic and young musician is lost too quickly and is buried, many mourned the greatness that she could not yet reach. The fans have worked hard over the years in order to keep her legacy alive. Selena is the Tejano singer who tragically killed during a shooting incident, caused the Latino reaction that could be thought of as similar to the reactions to Elvis Presley's and John Lennon's deaths. Selena was a hugely well-known Latino performer throughout North America. Her music transcended cultural barriers and touched the hearts of both young people and older adults. Selena might have been described by certain people as the Latina Madonna, but she is still a great character model. Selena's off-stage family values as well as her involvement with AIDS awareness campaigns make her a good example.
