Selena is the Tejano singer who tragically killed during a shooting incident, caused the Latino reaction that could be thought of as similar to the reactions to Elvis Presley's and John Lennon's deaths. Selena was a hugely well-known Latino performer throughout North America. Her music transcended cultural barriers and touched the hearts of both young people and older adults. Selena might have been described by certain people as the Latina Madonna, but she is still a great character model.
